IV bags for Intravenous solutions

Intro to IVs

Nutrient Intravenous Therapies

Intravenous (IV) nutrient therapies have been used for decades to assist environmentally ill patients in their recovery.

IV nutrient therapies are used in hospitalized patients in burn units and surgical intensive care units. However, outpatient IV nutrient therapies are not a covered benefit under third party payers.

A wide variety of IV therapies offered in the Oklahoma Environmental Medicine and Otolaryngology Clinic have been found to have clinical benefit in upper respiratory infections, elevated total body burdens of heavy metals, elevated total body burdens of hydrocarbon chemicals, and adjunctive cancer management.

A consultation is needed along with the laboratory evaluation to decide what therapies would offer the best chance for improvement in the environmental symptoms.
